We maintain the sport’s history and help shape its future. Our goal is to promote racing and breeding in Texas, foster its improvement, and attract and educate owners and breeders.

Thoroughbred Aftercare
Thoroughbred racing is an exciting and storied sport, but what happens after a horse’s racing career comes to an end? While some move on to breeding farms or second careers in new disciplines, many still need support, care, and a path forward.
The Paddock Foundation was created by the Texas Thoroughbred Association to help ensure retired Thoroughbred racehorses receive the care and opportunities they deserve after the track through retirement, rehabilitation, retraining, and rehoming efforts.

Education Fund
The Texas Thoroughbred Educational Fund helps place young Texans on the road to success by providing grants and awards to benefit Texas Thoroughbred Association members and their children and further their educational opportunities.
